About Us

Diamonds & Pearls Weddings and Events is owned by husband and wife duo, Ken & Jennifer Blakely.  While planning our own wedding, which was characterized as “the party of the year” by friends and family, we learned the ins and outs of finding creditable vendors and fairytale locations.   After internalizing the experience, Jennifer decided to combine her expertise in event planning for non-profits with her joy of planning weddings.  

Jennifer received professional certification and membership through the Association of Bridal Consultants and is a graduate of the University of North Texas’ Mini-Course, Wow! Events.   She is committed to putting her skills and love for a great party to work for you. 

Unlike many men, Ken was apart of the planning stage of our wedding every step of the way; attending vendor meetings, visiting facilities, cake tasting (his favorite part), choosing attire and even flowers.   He has a great eye for detail and ability to make sure everything is done on schedule and most importantly, within the budget!  Ken is a graduate of Grambling State University with a BS in Marketing and maintains all business affairs.
